*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Today we’re chatting about one of the downsides of traveling with little kiddos: diaper rash.
Since all of my family is out of town, I travel a lot with the girls.
At this point, I’m an absolute pro at passing out snacks, fishing around with my non-steering hand to retrieve sippy cups, books, games, dolls, etc., and of course changing a diaper at any rest stop in any state in no time flat.
Front seat of the car? No problem.
Rain? Snow? Below zero temperatures? Bring it on.
There’s just one thing that stops me in my tracks:
diaper rash.
Sweet Baby H’s skin is so incredibly sensitive, sitting in the car for hours on end does a number on her poor little behind.
But never fear, friends. I’ve found my secret weapon for Baby H’s rashy little tush:
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste.
There’s magic in that little tube.

.jpg)
It takes Baby H’s red, irritable, rashy derriere and gives her instant relief. And if you’ve ever had 200 miles left to drive with a sobbing, uncomfortable, diaper-rashy baby, you know that instant relief is everyone’s friend.
This butt paste truly kicks some serious rash.
And because no one~ baby, sibling, or parent~ should have to be miserable from diaper rash or the effects of a child with diaper rash, I’ve assembled a few tips on avoiding diaper rash while traveling.
1. Change your child’s diaper every time you stop, even if it doesn’t seem wet to you {it’s wet to them!}. Make sure to stop every 2-3 hours for a fresh diaper change.
2. Use a layer of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste each & every time you change your child’s diaper. It will help seal out wetness & sooth already-rashy behinds.
3. Once you reach your destination, let your child run around diaper-free for a few minutes. It’s a gamble {suggestion: avoid carpet!}, but a little fresh air on their tush & a coat of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste when putting on a new diaper will go a long way towards combating that dreaded rash.
Let’s face it: sometimes diaper rash is inevitable. I’m happy to report that Boudreaux’s Butt Paste has made our traveling life~ and diaper rash situation in general~ a whole lot easier, which I love love love.
It also helps Baby H quickly get back to being a happy baby hanging around in her diaper, which is how she rolls these days.

And I really love that, too.

Counting My Kisses: Diaper rash? Such a bummer for the little ones {and sometimes, everyone within earshot!}. But a quick, easy soothing solution is an answer to my prayers, especially on long car rides. And that is something I’m very, very thankful for!

With Baby Bode due to arrive in just 11 weeks, I’m sure I’m going to have a need for this amazing miracle paste…. My most experience is my own, as it is a amazing for the unexpected chaffing after working out. As I plan to get back into running post-baby, I’m sure this amazing butt paste will come in handy for the baby and me alike!

I like Boudreaux on Facebook with my username Mary Happymommy.
Use unscented wipes and expose baby’s bottom to the air by allowing them time to play without their diaper on.

My daughter use to get the worse diaper rashes not matter what I did to treat it. I switched to cloth diapers and it helped so much!

I combat diaper rash with using butt paste for both of my sons when they had a rash…but I made sure that I use hypoallergic wipes and kept changing the babies ever 2 to 3 hours..also I limit the amount of powder I used to.. thanks for this contest!

i’m due in november, so nothing yet, but i’ve heard great things about BBP and natural coconut oil! thanks for the chance!

If we are going to be in the car for a while or someplace where little man will have his diaper on for longer than I would like I use diaper cream as a preventative. I slab it on to protect his bum then I don’t AS BAD if I can’t immediately find a place to change him.

I personally have never had diaper rash (ehm that I can remember). But I would imagine it is a very uncomfortable experience as I have seen my adorable nieces diaper rashed keesters when diaper changing. My dog, Scooby, has a sensitive butt and skin – too bad Boudreaux doesn’t make something dog approved for I am sure that Scooby would appreciate the relief

When I used to babysit a lot, Butt Paste was a staple in every nursery I went into. I remember being in high school and giggling at the name, but low and behold, it works!

Luckily, we didnt have to deal with diaper rash with our little man too often, but when we did the butt paste far exceeded any other product we tried!
[Reply]
I always used unscented wipes, and then vaseline or rash cream to present rash.

Love that Butt Paste – we have some in our house! I also loved your travel tips – for long car rides and plane rides we actually paste K’s behind to start the trip and it works like a charm. Happy kid, happy mom.

to combat the diaper rash, i used desitin, perhaps i can try this brand soon! Thanks for a super giveaway!

My 2nd son has extremely sensitive skin. Diaper rash has always been a problem with him. We switched to cloth diapers, wash cloths instead of wipes, and his diaper is checked and changed a lot. My MIL is a nurse and she suggested we use Butt Paste. It was amazing how much it helped. We have a tube st home, in the diaper bag, and at grandparents houses. We are always prepared!

I have to agree that letting babe go diaper free for as long as possible (which is always a gamble!!) usually helps us! That and when a rash appears, making sure to change diapers more often than normal
[Reply]
Hmm, that explains why my diaper-removing little brother never had diaper rash back in the day. He was always running around bare. My first baby is due in a few weeks so I don’t have any mom experience to share yet.
[Reply]
While I may not have children, I have bought this countless times for people to add to their babyshower gifts because I know how good it works! It’s wonderful after a long run as I’m the chaffing queen

Both of my Grandkids have diaper rash and my Sara just changes them more often and uses the Butt Paste and problem solved! Great stuff!

my daughter had a really bad diaper rash, when she was a baby,as it turned out it was due to her being allergic to milk. i was a new mother and just couldnt figure out why it would not get better.thanks to my mother-in-law she knew right away what it was.the dr. put the baby on soybean milk and all was well.my daughter is now 40 yrs old and i was 17 at the time.

My best friend couldn’t take control of her child’s rash until she tried multiple diaper brands and found one her baby actually responded well too.

All four of my kids have super sensitive skin and almost all diaper rash creams made their raw tushies even worse…until I found Boudreaux’s. What a difference! It works great and doesn’t irritate their skin. Yay! =)

Oh Butt Paste! How I love thee! And so does Romy! From the newborn sensitive skin, breast-milk-doesn’t-agree-with-me diaper rash and the upcoming teething rash, you are the first diaper creme I grab. In the meantime, you’ve quickly cleared up the, my-mommy-is-a-slacker-waiting-for-a-full-diaper-before-she-changes-me red toosh, you rock! Our butts thank you bunches!

My son had gotten diaper rash once, and thank goodness it was not that bad. My grandmother had made some home made paste & we put it on him. He got a lot better very quickly. I was lucky!
[Reply]
We have been really lucky and avoided diaper rash so far. I attribute it to using cloth diapers and our baby hates being wet so we are constantly changing her.
[Reply]
I have been a mom for yours and I have yet to try this product, I hate diaper rash but I also hate those messy creams too!
[Reply]
Diaper rash is one of the most painful experiences of being a baby because it causes babies to tear, it is almost as bad as teething, and they can have comfort and relief if they are equipped with a terrific butt paste! Thanks for a great site! ♥

My first 3 kids rarely experienced diaper rash. Family and friends have teased me about using diaper cream even when they had no signs of a rash. Hey I believe in preventing any discomfort for MY kids if I can! That said my fourth baby has had a number of rashes….sigh. I can’t stand how uncomfortable it makes him.
Butt Paste works great.
Thanks for the chance.

I have used this brand on all 3 of my kids. It clears up a diaper rash more than any other brand. I actually addded it to my baby registry. It’s super easy to apply and honestly easier on my kids than any other brand. I love it and recommend it to everyone. The price is unbelievable.

Oh man. I’ve had some horror stories indeed with my second little guy. He’s seriously allergic to all dairy products and it is so hard to ensure that when we’re at a large family function or party no one gives him a little taste of frosting, ice cream or even chocolate. He literally bleeds whenever he has dairy. I have tried multiple creams and cant say which one works the best. What works the best for me is watching what he eats like a hawk and changing him as soon as possible!

I like Boudreaux on Facebook as Elena Istomina. I use baby powder and baby wipes for sensitive skin.
[Reply]
for me what helps is getting pampers swaddlers so that when I see the blue line that he’s wet I change him right away. Sarah at realtorsd.com

I always let baby air out after a change, and then either put on cream or powder them up with baby powder!
[Reply]
I soothe a diaper rash by getting my daughter’s bottom clean (gently!) then patting it dry. We let it air out as much as possible before putting on a diaper. But when it’s time for a diaper, we use a moisture barrier cream to protect her rash from what she might do in that diaper. When she has a really bad rash, she seems to like to sit in a warm bath for a bit.

I have worked in several day cares and I have to say that Butt Paste is the best product I have seen, hands down.
[Reply]
We were blessed to not experience diaper rash, so I don’t have any secrets or horror stories to share. Sounds like Butt Paste is a great product though!

We’re still trying to conceive, but I gave this to my sister-in-law when she had her first baby, and she swears by it! It’s a cult classic!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!!

I’m a huge fan of zinc cream. Plus, it works on people of all ages!

I discovered this product when I had the flu and a fever had me over-sweaty and I got a prickly rash! I thoroughly dried the area with my cold blow dryer and applied the butt paste. I had tried other products which did not work. After perusing the little boxes of cream I chose the one with the cute baby. It works great on chafing & prickly rashes. Works quickly. It helps to get the area really dry.

Our very own “Miracle Cream”. This product is great!

I liked Boudreaux on Facebook!
I’ve never tried or heard of Boudreaux.Guess I’ve missed out! Caldesene powder is the best I’ve ever tried. Works fast too!
Thank You!

We’ve always used Baking soda baths, and diaper cream.

most. amazing. butt. paste. ever!!!!!!

I had no idea when I was breastfeeding that the milk that I drank was causing Harper to get crazy amounts of diaper rash. So doing away with my nightly glass of milk when eating my cookies along with a little butt paste fixed the problem within days!
[Reply]
My daughter gets diaper rash a lot….I find that it helps to let her walk around the house naked to air everything out. I should try boudreaux’s.
[Reply]
Love this stuff! It protects my little girls bottom no matter what, even with the horrible diapers while teething!
[Reply]
We used zinc cream frequently, which means that Boudreaux’s Butt Paste would great!
[Reply]
I have never used Boudreaux but I hear it’s great!

My daughter has had a diaper rash a couple times. We try to let her keep her diaper off as much as possible and use cream if needed.

Though i have not dealt with baby diaper rash, as a certified wound specialist, i have use BBP on many a heiney. So, though BBP may be for babies, it it good later in life too! So baby diapers or adult diapers, diaper rash is not fun!!
[Reply]
I’ve used Desitin and BBP for rashes, and had great success with coconut oil (is solid at room temp) for a stubborn rash. Thanks for the opportunity!:)

We live in Alabama and both my husband’s and my family live in Ohio, so we spend A LOT of hours in the car (at least 12 one way) each year. I typically use Desitin Maximum Strength (purple tube) for my little ones diaper rashes, but have also used the Dollar General brand which, believe it or not, works pretty well too. When at a rest stop, I clean Baby E with wipes (sensitive) and pat him dry with soft tissues. Sometimes I will also use the dry diaper to fan his area before I apply (or reapply) his rash cream. It helps if you can be proactive about it too – apply before you leave on a trip if you know your kiddo is prone to rashes.

Warm baths helps a lot and using a warm wash cloth instead of wipes before putting on diaper creme helps my little ones. Also some diaper free time doesn’t hurt but may leave a mess. Thanks!

It makes me so sad when Cameron has diaper rash! He hates being changed and i feel so bad. Thank goodness for butt paste though. We always put it on, especially at night to be preventative!
[Reply]
we’ve been fortunate in the diaper rash department, but i’ve heard this is the bomb!
[Reply]
Okay, it has been about 20 years since I had anything to do with diaper rash. But when the grandkids come along, I’ll be glad to have something better than stinky, sticky [put brand-name butt rash product here] to use.
