Say hello to the babies of the hour!

Since Baby H & Cousin M are only three weeks apart, we decided to celebrate their first birthdays with a BIG joint birthday bash.
The theme? The number 1, of course!

Who doesn’t love a cupcake cake?! It was 100% delicious AND adorable~ plus it made for easy serving.
Our favors were “1″ cookies with a sticker that matched the invitations {bought from Tiny Prints}. So cute!

We had a handmade Happy Birthday sign for the girls, and light & dark pink balloons were hanging from the ceiling {great work, Uncle Chris G!}. The kids loved it and it definitely added to the festive party atmosphere!

We also displayed a month-by-month photo of each of the girls, starting as brand-new wee ones and ending at present day.

This was one of my favorite parts of the party decorations~ I just can’t get over how much our babies have changed in the past year!
And of course, embracing the joint birthday party theme, we also did a picture collage of Baby H & Cousin M together over the past year. Love!

The birthday girls were ready to get the party started…after a quick snack, of course.

Then it was off to play {and bulldoze}…

before digging into a delicious dinner. Yum!

Next on the agenda?
CAKE!
Everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” which the girls thought was hilarious.

and then it was time to get down to business!
The girls had a brief moment of hesitation initially with the cupcakes…

But no worries~ they definitely got the hang of it quickly!

Milk break!

And if you missed my Wordless Wednesday post earlier this week, this was the sweetest moment of the whole party: birthday buddies holding hands.

Love it!
And let’s not forget the “after” shot: frosting in hair and all over face & tummy. That’s the way it’s done, girls! Great work!

All in all, it was a fantastic birthday party for our sweet one-year-olds.
And it was so much fun that the girls were able to share this milestone together! Such an amazing blessing for both of our families.

We love you, Baby H & Cousin M! The happiest of birthdays to both of you.
Counting My Kisses: We’re so thankful for such incredible family & friends~ we had such a wonderful time celebrating with you! I’m so happy we were able to mark this special occasion with a joint birthday party for the girls~ it was definitely one for the memory books.
Have a GREAT weekend, everyone!
