I’ve been looking forward to this weekend since before Thanksgiving.
Don’t get me wrong~ I love the holidays. Absolutely love them. And witnessing magical moments with the girls and spending amazing time with family & friends was beyond fabulous.
But when this weekend finally arrived, I greeted it with wide-open arms.
We had absolutely nothing on our schedule. No swim lessons, no holiday shopping trips, no parties, no plans whatsoever.
And it was glorious.
The Hubs & I spent Friday night de-Christmas-ify-ing {is that a word?!} our house after the girls went to bed. I’m a huge fan of decorating for the holidays, but wow, it feels so good to have our house put back together!
Little O did tearfully ask if Mommy & Daddy threw away her Christmas tree when she woke up on Saturday morning, but perked right back up after we assured her that it was safely packed away in a box in the basement, taking a long nap until next Christmas. Meltdown avoided. Phew.
Other than that, we had a very laid-back, relaxing weekend.
The Hubs & I broke out our new trendy wine glasses {a Christmas gift from my 88-year-old grandmother…how cute is she?!} and enjoyed a delicious bottle of wine from the local winery we visited on our anniversary.

Paired with two little girls asleep before 8 p.m. and a funny movie {Horrible Bosses}, Saturday night was just about perfect.
Other happenings during our quiet weekend at home?
Lego building.

Smushing two children & a stuffed dog into a Cozy Coupe {Little O’s idea, of course. I think Baby H looks slightly concerned, no?}.

Dancing with Daddy.

Baby H’s continued quest to eat only big-girl food {we have to sneak in the baby food, we still have a bunch left!}.

And snuggling. Lots and lots of snuggling.
Little O & her BFF dolls {Chloe {left} and Rapunzel {right}}.

Lilly & Little O.

And Mommy & a sweet, sleepy Baby H.

Love it!
What did you do this weekend? Hope you had a chance to unwind a bit!
Counting My Kisses: Ahhh. I feel so refreshed after our quiet weekend at home. It was so fun just to enjoy the girls and the Hubs without a massive To Do list hanging over our heads! I love our quiet weekends at home~ although these days, our quiet weekends are filled with giggling little girls and lots & lots of toys. A new kind of quiet for us~ but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
